What is the Healthy Foods Card?

The Humana Healthy Foods Card assists members in extending their monthly food resources, especially when financial constraints may limit access to an adequate food supply. This card offers allowances of $25 or $50 per month. Any unused balance per month does not carry over to the following month.

How do members use their cards?

Utilizing the card is straightforward:

  • Activate the card.
  • Visit a participating store.
  • Shop for approved healthy foods.
  • At checkout, swipe the Healthy Foods Card first to pay for approved purchases.

Approved food purchases are automatically covered up to the available balance. Separate payment methods are required for ineligible items or if the total exceeds the card balance. Please contact the number located on the back of your card or visit www.HealthyFoodsCard.com to inquire about your balance.  Humana Customer Care is available to assist with lost or stolen cards or any other card-related issues.

What can I buy with my card?

You can use your benefits to purchase thousands of approved foods and beverages. Refer to the handy list below to guide your shopping for qualifying items:

Items not qualifying include non-food and pet items, alcohol, baby formula, candy, chips, coffee shop items, desserts, fresh baked goods, soda, and tobacco.

Check Your Card Balance

Quickly ascertain your card balance without the need for logging into your account! Simply enter your 16-digit card number on the front of the card and the 3-digit security/CVV code on the back.

How do I use my benefits to shop online?

  • To access the Shop Now option, navigate to the About page and click on Ways to Order.
  • Add all approved items to your cart on Walmart.com.
  • Proceed to checkout. You may sign in or continue as a Guest.
  • Select your delivery method – home delivery or store pickup – and enter any necessary delivery information.
  • Choose ‘Gift Card’ as your payment method and input your 17-digit card number and 4-digit security code from the back of your Healthy Benefits+ card.
  • To utilize your gift card benefits, simply click on “Apply Gift Card,” and they will be automatically applied to any eligible items in your cart.
  • Remember, benefits apply only to eligible items up to your available balance; another payment method is required for ineligible items.

How do I use my benefits to shop for prepared meals and produce boxes?

  • Visit Mom’s Meals to select prepared meals, produce, and pantry boxes.
  • Follow the ordering instructions at checkout, using your 17-digit account number and 4-digit security code.

How do I use my benefits to shop in-store?

  • Utilize the online store finder or the Healthy Benefits+ mobile app to locate participating stores nearby.
  • While in-store, use the mobile app’s product scanner to check item eligibility.
  • At checkout, have the cashier scan your Healthy Benefits+ card or mobile app barcode before any other payment method.
  • Your benefits will be applied immediately to approved foods and beverages, up to your available balance. Another payment method is required for ineligible items.
