The CEO of Apple Tim Cook recently said in the recent epic test that without the process of the company’s strict review, the App Store will be “toxic chaos.” However, the approval process seems to still pass through a large amount of poor application. Of the top 1,000 best-selling applications in stores, almost two percent are some forms of fraud, according to reports from Washington Post.
Some of the evil applications are quoted including VPN which incorrectly tells users that they are infected with viruses, cheats them to buy software that is not needed. Also in the list is a dating application, QR reader and the application cheatly claiming comes from major brands such as Amazon or Samsung. Some of the former fake customer reviews to rise in the App Store ranking.
The application may have issued users from around $ 48 million, according to posting forecasts, including Apple pieces up to 30 percent. Apple reportedly removed 12 of 18 applications after they were marked.
“We hold high standards developers to store applications that are safe and trusted for customers to download software, and we will always take action against applications that cause losses for users,” Apple spokesman Fred Sainz said to post in a statement. “Apple leads the industry with practices that put our customers’ safety first, and we will continue to learn, develop our practice and invest the resources needed to ensure customers are served with the best experience.”
Apple recently said it would block $ 1.5 billion potentially fraud last year, adding that usually captured fraud within a month that arrived at the store. However, during the recent trial, the epic accused Apple using security as a pretext to take 30 percent in transactions.
