Apple surprised many of us in 2020 with the introduction of the iPhone 12 mini as the fourth variant of his traditional flagship handset next to the standard iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Will iPhone 13 Mini occur in 2021 next to the iPhone 13? There is nothing certain, but here we will see all leaks and rumors so far throughout the smaller iPhone.
Apple has not revealed the official details of its sales figures for the iPhone 12 series, but some reports of consumer intelligence research partners have suggested the iPhone 12 mini is the most popular model. In fact, it was apparently the most unpopular distance.
According to these numbers, the iPhone 12 Mini accounts for less than 5% of the total iPhone sales from December 2020 to 2021. The iPhone 12 has around 20%, and the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are both right behind the stat.
The remaining percentage consists of a longer iPhone model that continues to be sold Apple, such as the iPhone 11 and iPhone SE.
The right sales number is likely to never be revealed directly by Apple, but the general consensus is that the iPhone 12 mini is not a large driver of sales for Apple. Does that mean we won’t see the iPhone 13 mini? Rumors are currently suggesting we will.
Lots of leaks
The iPhone 13 Mini leak is happening, and we consistently heard details about smaller models when we heard about the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
For example, this week we have heard about battery capacity from the source. It is said that we will see an increase in battery capacity on each model, and it displays details for the iPhone 13 mini too.
This does not guarantee a mini 13 mini will occur, but often if a smartphone is canceled during the production phase, we will not continue to hear it in rumors and leaks.
September is the expected iPhone 13 release date, and while it might still be far from this is the point in the year where Apple traditionally will complete the plan and start entering manufacturing for new handsets.

Display production is ongoing for the iPhone 13 series, or at least that is very rumored from other reports that come out nearby May.
If it’s true, Apple produces smartphone screens for the iPhone 13 mini and it is the most definite sign that it will make a smaller variant of the next mainstay series.
Again, this is all leaked information and is rumored but it is a large sign that we will see a smaller alternative phone in the future of Apple.

No Gurantee Apple will make the iPhone 13 mini, but now it looks more likely than not that we will see a new option that is smaller than the company in 2021.
The poor sales figure for the iPhone 12 Mini may have a greater impact on future generations compared to whatever the company did in 2021.
Often, smartphone manufacturers work on devices many years before and maybe that the iPhone 13 series has been very well planned so that it will really affect the iPhone 14.
That said, Apple might also be happy with the performance of iPhone 12 mini sales. It is very unlikely we will ever hear the Cook team or its employees in public to talk about this, but maybe that hope is not great for this handset.
If that’s the problem, this is just an additional option that sits next to the main series of smartphones and can be Apple always anticipates it to be the case when a smartphone comes out.
September tends to be the release date of the iPhone 13 mini if it happens, and we have to wait and see what the company has in the shop around.
