CTL Chrombox CBX2 may be the most powerful Chrome OS Desktop

The OS Chrome device has gained a reputation to low power and cheap computers mostly because of how most Chromebooks, especially the first, precisely. However, lately, Google and its OEM partners have tried to increase the chromebook and chromeboxes profile by providing a beefier hardware component. That, of course, also means raising prices and combinations it might be best seen on the latest CTL CBX2 Chrombox which might have hardware to rival even some gaming computers.

Part of the reason why Chrome OS targets entry-level to middle class hardware is to make Chromebook more attractive to schools and businesses that will buy large amounts of devices. It is also capable of running on devices that are less strong because they reduce a lot of application processing to the web. However, Chrome OS today is far from the earliest days and can certainly use the stronger hardware available today.

The latest CTL CBX2 Chrombox gives it and then some. It has several models available but the most powerful runs on the Intel Core i7-10610U. This is not the latest Intel Gen 11 processor but, for Chromebox, it’s a lot of power.

But wait, there’s more! CTL also throws 64GB DDR4 RAM and above, the most that Chrome OS device, both Chromebook or Chromebook, might have seen. There is also a lot of storage space with Flash SSD 2TB M.2 which is packed in.

It might not be surprising that CTL Chrombox CBX2 is also equipped with a price label of $ 1,419. Developers who want to take advantage of the chrome OS ability to host the aloof Linux and Android will not be disappointed and it can also prove the future of the computer for the future of Gaming Chrome OS. That said, the company also offers a cheaper $ 729 configuration that stores the same CPU but the RAM downgrade to 8GB and storage to EMMC 128GB.
