After what is considered a Hibernation period for AMD, Eternal Intel rivals have returned to kick and brandish the impressive new chips warehouse under the new Zen CPU architecture and also the same new Radeon RDNA2 graphics technology. Not surprisingly, they take a purpose in the desktop PC market first but now AMD carries the same technology to a more moving form factor. At computex this year, it not only launched Radeon Rp. 6000m a series of graphic chips for laptops but also a new certification program for laptop games for Intel Evo rivals.
PC gamers will most likely be more interested in the three new AMD laptop GPUs announced today. Based on current RDNA2 graphics architecture designed mainly by considering the game, the new Radeon RX 6000m series promises 1.5 times better performance and 43% lower power consumption. Of course, there are several graphics cards to choose from, largely depending on your budget.
Radeon RX 6800m represents top-tier options with 12GB DDR6 RAM, 40 cus, Raytracing support, and support for 1440p 120 fps gaming. Middle Ground is the Radeon RX 6700M which raises graphics memory to 10GB and calculates the unit to 36 while still supporting the 1440P resolution even though at the frame speed of 100 FPS is slightly slower. Last but not small, Radeon RX 6600M is likely to be presented as a budget version that successfully supports 100 fps rates but maximally at 1080p.
The third GPU2 GPU shares a general DNA, forgives the game of words, when it comes to interesting special features for gamers and electricity users. This includes AMD Smart Access memory, which allows AMD Ryzen processors using GDDR6 GPU memory and AMD SmartShift which dynamically shifts the power between Radeon and Radeon processors to improve performance.
This same feature forms several criteria for AMD’s new design framework. Similar to the Evo Intel program, it states certain laptops as displaying the best AMD technology but are more directed towards the gaming rig. The first is classified below this new branding is the Gaming Rog Strix G15 / 17 AMD Advantage gaming laptop coming in June. The availability of other laptops that bring the AMD Radeon RX 6000m Series GPU is expected to begin later this year.
